AFM is an asbestos-free sealing material. It contains aramid fibers and other high-temperature-resistant asbestos substitutes, which are processed with high-quality elastomers under increased pressure and temperature.
AFM is adaptable and has very good mechanical and thermal strength, which is also demonstrated by the high pressure stability. It is ideal for sealing gases and liquids.
AFM has a separating cover (TD 2) with a high coefficient of friction on both surfaces as standard, which makes removal easier. An additional surface treatment is not necessary in most cases.
- These seals are manufactured according to din 7715 with tolerance class P2.
