The original shovel issued to Patriotic Guards. It shows little use, has the rubberised canvas holster with a loop to attach to a belt.
It is a rather "ersatz" looking shovel.

The Patriotic Guards was a huge armed paramilitary organization subordinated to the Communist Party of Socialist Romania.
Its fight was part of the doctrine of ”The fight of the whole nation” and all workers (man or women) trained. 
The black stripe butt Romanian semiautoAk was the main Patriotic Guards rifle.
