Shiny lycra, also known as 'nylon lycra' or 'spandex' is a premium quality 4 way stretch fabric. It's made from a super strong and durable fibre called polyamide that is knitted with a high percentage of elastane for the ultimate stretch. The shiny or sparkly surface gives the fabric a beautiful iridescent glow, especially under certain lighting. This fabric is commonly used for swimwear as it's waterproof but it's also ideal for dancewear, activewear and fashion garments. Oeko- Tex Standard 100 and TÜV Rheinland certified.
Fabric composition: 80% Polyamide (Nylon), 20% Elastane (Lycra)
Width: 159 cm (62 inches) approx. G/M²: 190 + 5% approx. / G/LM: 285 + 5% approx.
Fabric use: Excellent material for swimwear, dancewear, activewear, dressmaking tops, body-con dresses, skirts, accessories, interior display and much more!
