Matte lycra, also known as 'nylon lycra' or 'spandex' is a premium quality 4 way stretch fabric. It's made from a super strong and durable fibre called polyamide that is knitted with a high percentage of elastane for the ultimate stretch in all directions. It’s got a beautifully soft, but strong handle with excellent recovery making it the ideal fabric for high performance garments such as swim-wear, dance-wear, active-wear and luxury fashion. Matte Lycra has a solid finish giving the colour a beautifully crisp and pigmented appearance.
