Our SLS-FREE shampoos are inspired by ancient healing traditions which utilize herbal science to promote circulation, get rid of excess sebum (oil), and gently cleanse your hair’s roots and scalp. They offer hormone balancing compounds that encourage cellular growth, promote a longer hair growth cycle, and encourage healing of the scalp, and hair. Instead of scalp-damaging sulphates (ammonium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), we use natural foaming agents from organic coconut. They are gentle on the hair and skin. The vitamins and essential fatty acids found naturally in coconut oil nourish the scalp and help to remove sebum build-up from hair follicles. Coconut oil also prevents hair loss by supporting the primary building block of hair – protein. Coconut oil’s structure allows it to penetrate your hair in ways that other oils are not able to. Our customers notice amazing results relatively quickly when using our shampoo formulations for this reason.
Please note that any shampoo is still a detergent that works to remove extra oil and dirt from your hair and scalp. HOW OUR PRODUCTS WORK:
We only use plant derived ingredients, that’s why our Botanical Hair Growth Lab products don’t pose the negative side effects of topical hair-growth medicines available both over-the-counter or with a prescription.
The first sign you will start to notice is a slowing down of the amount of hair you are losing, followed later by new hair growth. It takes 3 months to see new hair grow to a length that is visible by your eyes. There is no such thing as an instant miracle cure, short of the paint fiber sprays that are purely cosmetic. Your hair grows beneath the skin for months before you ever see it. That's because healthy hair follicles that are not producing hair will need to rest 2 to 4 months before cells start dividing again and new hairs begin to grow. This is the nature of how human hair grows.
Hair growth occurs in three distinct phases; the first is the Anagen (Growth) phase where growth occurs over a two to six-year period, followed by the Catagen phase where the follicle is in a state of transition to the rest phase.
Catagen phase lasts 2-3 weeks and it is finished by hair strand detachment. That’s why there is no color pigment production happening during this phase and fallen hair strand has the white tip. You can easy distinguish the natural thinning from the problem one by the color of the root of fallen hair strand. Those that fall out because their growing (Anagen) phase cycle has finished will have a white colored tip on the root area.
Finally, the Telogen (resting) phase where the follicle goes dormant. During this dormant phase, there is little to no blood flow to the follicle, rendering it dormant for up to 9 months, and that's where our HAIR GROWTH formula comes in.
By promoting blood flow to the follicle, our formula helps to revitalize a dormant follicle and shift it back into the natural growth cycle again. The hair regrowth phase begins as soon as the hair follicle has enough strength to produce new hair fibers. The longer the hair stays in the Anagen (growing) phase, the faster and longer it will grow.
