Large Luterma Plywood Hat Box

The box carries stamps for Luerma and Henry Ordish & Sons (Harrogate) on the inside lid and the base

Luterma was an Estonian Plywood furniture company founded in 1883

It became the largest plywood & furniture manufacturer in Europe

Renowned for high quality plywood furniture & 'utilities'

This hat box is made from a 3 ply birch plywood with metal bandings to fix, keep shape and give strength

The lid bears all the relevant stamps and also the retailers stamp from Harrogate, North Yorkshire (Henry Ordish & Son)

All plywood & metal fixings in very good order with no damages

Its original leather straps are generally worn and in areas torn 

An extra large hat box which a novel and perfectly serviceable side / coffee table (with the benefit of storage) 

~ and what a talking point!

Measures 23" diam x 13" tall

Made around 1920 / 1930

Will be carefully packed and posted via ParcelForce or UPS
