My husband walked a mile for this camel lamp (parking was
crowded at the mall that day 😊). Seriously
though, this beauty has been with us for close to 15 years & has graced
many mantles, desks, bookcase shelves, & end tables.
Now that we are downsizing, we just do not have enough surfaces to accommodate another accent lamp.
APPRECIATING THE ART
“Craquelure” or “crackle porcelain” is distinguished
from “Crazing”,
which is accidental craquelure arising as a glaze defect.
In the case of this “ACCENT LAMP w/WOOD BASE, CAMEL MOTIF w/"CRAQUELURE" or CRACKLE GLAZE”, it has been used as a deliberate decorative effect. This deliberate glazing effect has a long history that can be traced back to Korean & Chinese pottery.

CONDITION
Many of my items are vintage & fairly aged; accordingly, there may be some issues with individual pieces that are associated with the passage of time. Each piece is gently used & may exhibit minor glitter loss and/or paint anomalies due to the vintage quality of the item.
I have looked each of them over to detect any major flaws. Any serious damage, fading or discoloration that I can perceive will be disclosed; however small flaws (i.e. imperfections in the glaze/paint, a slipped stitch, etc.) may be missed.
ALL OF MY COLLECTIONS HAVE BEEN STORED IN A TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT IN OUR SMOKE-FREE, PET-FRIENDLY HOME.
