Seeds of Lobelia inflata, inflated lobelia
The Lobelia inflata is a North American plant with striking white flowers that usually appear well into summer. The plant does not exceed one meter in height and usually behaves as an annual plant.
It has some resistance to frost, although it is ideal for it to be in somewhat temperate areas in partial shade or if the sun is not very strong in direct exposure, it develops well in loamy-clay soils and requires moderate watering. It is recommended to sow in a warm-sheltered-luminous place, burying the seeds less than one cm away. They can be left to soak for 24 hours beforehand to facilitate germination, which usually takes several weeks. Once the seedlings are born, they can be planted in their final place or in a pot when they have several pairs of leaves and a certain consistency.
