Bandage-bandage method
(1) Ring bandaging
Used in small or cylindrical parts of limbs, such as hands, feet, wrists and forehead.
It is also used at the beginning of various bandages.
The bandage is rolled up and held in the right hand.
The bandage is unfolded about 8 cm. Left thumb fix the part needed bandage of bandage head, right hand bandage the part in continous ring.
Need roll is by the need, the end of the bandage is fixed by cloth.
(2) Spiral bandaging
It is used in the parts with approximately equal circumference, such as upper arm, finger, etc.
Two rolls were wrapped annularly from the distal end, then spirally wound at 30 degrees to the proximal end.
Each roll overlapped two-thirds of the previous roll, and the end tape was fixed. When the first aid lacks bandages or temporarily fixes splints, the bandages do not cover each other every circle, which is called serpentine bandage.
(3) Spiral folding bandaging
For unequal circumference parts, such as forearm, leg, thigh, etc.
Start with two-circle bandage, then do spiral bandage, then press one thumb on the middle of the upper part of the bandage, the other hand will fold the bandage down from that point, covering 1/3 or 2/3 of the previous circle.
Each folding should be arranged in a straight line, but should not be in the wound and bone protuberance.
(4) 8-shaped bandaging
It is used to bandage shoulder, elbow, wrist, ankle and other joint parts and fix clavicle fracture.
Take the elbow joint as an example, first wrap two rolls of bandage in the middle of the joint, first wrap around the upper part of the joint, then wrap around the lower part of the joint through the flexion side, then wrap around the back side of the limb to the flexion side of the limb and then over the upper joint, so repeatedly, the word "8" is used to wrap the joint up and down continuously, each roll overlaps with the previous roll by two rolls, and finally wrap up two rolls of the joint in the upper ring and fix the tape.
(5) Reverse bandaging
Used for head, fingertips and limb stump, a series of left and right or front and back bandaging, will be covered all the bandaged parts.
