Megadeth was formed in LA around Dave Mustaine (vocals, guitar), who was in Metallica before their debut and was established as an indie label in 1985. After making their record debut with, they made their major debut with Capitol Records in 1986. Later, with a 1990s golden-era lineup that included guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick Menza, they released their first album in March 1993, following the release of their 1992 album Countdown to Extinction. announced their fourth performance in Japan, including the Nippon Budokan performance. However, this event was canceled due to the members' health issues, and they never performed on the Budokan stage during their eight concerts in Japan.
This year marks exactly 30 years since the Budokan performance was canceled. Megadeth will finally take to the Budokan stage for the first time with their new album which is causing a sensation all over the world.
To commemorate this visit to Japan, this tour edition, which was specially allowed to be released only in Japan, features the much-talked-about new album ``The Sick, The Dying...and The Dead'', which will be the basis of this Japan performance. !”, two new bonus tracks have been added. The 2021 release of "This Planets on Fire" featuring Sammy Hagar as a guest, which was included on the CD released in some regions overseas, and Megadeth's early masterpiece "The Killing Spell" A new live version has been added to the CD. The lead single from this album, "Will Be Back," has been nominated for the "Best Metal Performance" category at the 65th Grammy Awards in 2023. The CD is SHM-CD specification.
Also included on the DVD with this tour edition is the latest from Will Be Back: Chapter I, an epic action-packed short film-style video about the origins of Megadeth mascot Vic Rattlehead. Contains music videos for all 5 songs, including the video "Killing Time: Chapter V".
