Live View and Electric Shutter Required: The camera body DOES NOT have a built-in shutter button or electric contacts. Instead, it relies on live view mode and the electronic shutter of the PhaseOne IQ3 100 CFH digital back for capturing images. This setup allows for precise image composition and shutter control without the need for additional electronic connections from bodies. If any digital backs that supports live view and electric shutter should also function well with this body.
Manual Lens and Proper Lens Adapter Required: The camera body DOES NOT have electronic contacts. The camera body works with only manual focus and manual aperture lenses. AF lenses with the GFX mount cannot be used with this body because the GFX AF lenses do not offer manual aperture control directly on the lens when used without mounting the lens on the GFX camera body.
For using other lens mount, you need to prepare GF lens adapter for your lens.
Body and 3D Printing: It has been designed and made using FDM (Resin) 3D printing technology. While the surface finishing may not be commercial grade, it does not impact the functionality or image quality, providing a unique opportunity for photographers to utilize their existing equipment.
