The Profoto Connect also works independently of the Profoto app. The app gives you an ingenious remote control that lets you view and control the device from your smartphone. You can just touch, swipe, and tweak the settings to adjust the brightness in such a way that it blends perfectly with the ambient light. When the unit is set to Auto, you can simply swipe to add an offset to the default flash power to make all images a little brighter or a little darker. While using the Manual mode, you can swipe to adjust the flash power.
