Fitting Instructions.
With the door closed, measure the distance on the width between the outer frame and then deduct approx 12 mm. cut the bar to length and secure the end caps in place.
Mark a few points along the door at approx 20 mm from the bottom of the door sash. With the door closed use the off cut to check that the bar will clear the door frame all the way along. (It may have dropped over a long period of time). Once you are happy that the bar clears the bottom of the door frame, fit the screws into the door sash. Then with the door in the open position, slide the bar onto the screw heads . Be sure to check that the bar has equal gap at either end so it does not fowl on the door frame when using the door. it can be tapped gently to the required position. It is best if a small bead of silicone is applied as this then secures the bar from any water penetration and also stops the bar from being slid on the screws .
