Description: Palace Rijswijk old antique print of House of Ryswick were the Treaty of Rijswijk was signed in 1696.
The Treaty of Ryswick or Ryswyck was signed on 20 September 1697 and named after Ryswick (now known as Rijswijk) in the Dutch Republic. The trea-ty settled the Nine Years' War, which pitted France against the Grand Alliance of England, Spain, the Holy Roman Empire and the United Provinces.

Jacques Nicolas Bellin (1703 – 21 March 1772)
Bellin was born in Paris. He was hydrographer of France's hydrographic office, member of the Académie de Marine and of the Royal Society of London. 

Engraved by Jakob van der Schley aka Jakob van Schley a Dutch engraver. He studied under Bernard Picart.
Most of the plates in the Dutch edition of Prévost's "Histoire générale des voyages" are signed by van der Schley.
