This antique Edwardian sterling silver epergne/centrepiece has a plain, tapering form with a flared rim onto a bell shaped base.
The main flute is encompassed with a pierced decorated border below applied moulded decoration to the Chippendale style rim.
This Edwardian centrepiece is fitted with three plain scrolling sterling silver arms, each terminating with a circular receiver.
Each receiver holds one of the three original detachable fully hallmarked flutes, embellished with pierced decoration identical to that of the body.
The bell shaped base of this fine epergne unscrews from the feature flute.
The base of this Edwardian centrepiece has a pierced decorated flared foot, further ornamented with a Chippendale style border.
ConditionThis antique silver epergne is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.
The centrepiece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface and the base of the central flute, in addition to part hallmarks to the surface of the three supporting flutes are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique Edwardian silverware.
