These exceptional antique George V sterling silver mustard pots have a circular baluster shaped form onto a spreading circular foot.
The sterling silver body of each mustard pot is encircled with a shaped band of chased interlacing scrolling leaf and floral ornamentation on a matte background and flanked with a scalloped border.
The chased decoration to the mustard pots incorporate vacant shaped cartouches to the anterior surfaces.
The flared upper rim of each piece is embellished with an applied egg decorated border.
These fine mustard pots are fitted with hallmarked domed hinged covers encircled with a large chased quatrefoil shaped foliate design.
The mustard pot covers are surmounted with impressive sterling silver rose bud style finials.
Each unusual mustard pot is fitted with a cast and applied trigurcating scrolling handle ornamented with a leaf design in addition to a figural bust style thumbpiece.
The foot is encircled with further impressive chased floral and foliate decoration on a matte background.
Both pieces are fitted with removable blue glass liners.
The underside of each piece bears the retailer"s mark/icon (Aladdin"s lamp) of James Dixon.
