Fantastic repp stripe tie, made for the exclusive Essex Country Club in Manchester, Massachusetts by Arthur L. Johnson Co., an old Boston golf outfitter. It is red with stripes of dark navy and gold - likely all silk and made in England. Presumably a very rare old school trad tie and originally available to members only - with a connection to a storied Donald Ross course.
Very good previously worn condition with minor wrinkles but no major damage or wear.
It measures 3 1/2" wide x 53” long.
