Henri BOULAGE (1882-1967), Watercolor Original, Saint-Pierre-de-Montmartre

Watercolor on canson paper pasted on kraft paper depicting the church of Saint-Pierre-de-Montmartre and its calvary.

Henri Boulage, born in Draveil (Essone) in 1882, was a French post-impressionist painter who belonged to the Montmartre school. He lived in the "cité des artistes de Montmartre" until his death in 1967. Known for his paintings of Parisian neighborhoods, particularly Montmartre. He is considered a Master of Montmartre. Henri Boulage is listed in Bénézit, the "Dictionnaire des peintres de Montmartre", Artprice... These works are sought-after.
