Condition is vintage new never worn original B&L U.S.A
American Company Bausch & Lomb, was the first firm to market spectacles under a brand name and have been in business, for nearly one hundred years. They specialised in excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
On sale here is a rare example of Bausch & Lomb's great craftmanship in the AVIATOR L0205 VXAS Sunglasses, which is based on the styles of the 1930's.
It is is crafted from 24k GOLD PLATED shell AND acetate, PLASTIC with 24 carat gold plated metal.
Special attention is paid to the bridge.
The lenses are made from G-15 mineral glass and carry the BL logo etched on each lens.
These sunglasses are the ultimate style statement, for those who like to be unique.
As the original Ray Ban slogan stated:-

Original Ray Ban Company was generated in 1937 by Mr Bausch and Mr Lomb they used to Produce the world’s finest sunglasses.
Bausch & Lomb have managed to capture the world’s market, they used to supply American air force with Ray Bans as part of their uniforms.
They have continued their business until 1999 that’s when the company was sold to an Italian company which still trading with the same name (Ray Ban Luxotica) but quality of their sunglasses is nowhere near the older Bausch&Lomb made sunglasses.
Bausch&Lomb used to make their sunglasses to last you life time hence they didn’t have the two years warranty because they knew their products will last and insure your eyes Lifetime.

- [ ] From 1937 to 1999 Ray Bans were made by an optics company called Bausch and Lomb in USA and France, hence the 'BL' engraving on vintage lenses. The 'Ray Ban' logo printed on the lens only appeared on later models from the 80's onwards, earlier examples with no lens logo printed are still genuine
- [ ] - From 1999 to present day Ray Bans have been made by a company called Luxottica in Italy, lenses inscribed with 'RB'

While known for there build quality and style innovation the frames are 24k GOLD PLATED .
On the TIP OF the arms are marked L0205 VXAS along with B&L Ray Ban U.S.A and B&L RAY-BAN 58-14 on the top and bottom of the nose bridge .
The lenses have a green view with the Bausch and Lomb BL initials etched into the lenses
BL inscribed on both nose pads and both lenses near the hinges
