Pre-motor fiber filter is washable and may be washed with mild detergent and warm water. Be sure the filter is completely dry before use again.

Bissell recommends filters be changed every 6 to 8 months depending on use and how often the filter is cleaned. Having clean filters keeps the suction power of your machine strong.
