A fabulous Furnivals BrownQuail Vintage tea set comprising a Cup, Saucer and side plate or cake plate.The pattern is the wonderful Quail and floral pattern. The two quails aredepicted in a grassy setting with flowers and foliage running around the sideof the cup. The quail image also features on the inside rim of the cup. Thesame quail duo scene is featured on the saucer and cake plate.

The cup diameter is approx. 3 5/8 in and 2 1/2 in high. The saucer diameter is5 5/8 in The side plate diameter is 6 3/4 in
A highly collectible Furnivals Brown Quail cup and saucer in excellent vintagecondition with no cracks, chips, or visible scratches. In remarkably goodcondition given their age. Given that this set is over 100 years old, it islasted pretty well. 

Furnivals and the manufacture of pottery at Elder Road,Longton dates back to 1871. Originally Thomas Furnival & Sons Ltd thecompany shortened its name to Furnivals in 1913.
