Description
These exceptional antique George V sterling silver vases have a swept waisted, cylindrical form.
The surface of each silver vase has a planished finish.
The upper portions of these Arts and Crafts vases are each encompassed with a band of chased scrolling leaf decoration, above an engraved inverted scalloped border.
The lower portion of each antique vase features a convex rounded knop, to a swept base encircled with further engraved scalloped borders.
The weighted base of each vase retains the original inset oak wood panel.
These impressive antique silver vases were crafted by the renowned and collectable silversmiths Liberty & Co Ltd.
ConditionThese Arts and Crafts vases are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The chased decoration is all very sharp and the engraved ornamentation is all very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the rim of each base are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
