Artisanal oil made from the fozilized feces of the Hyrax, Procavia capensis. The feces of the Hyrax harden over time and become frozen, turning into a kind of stone, which does not seem to have much odor until you cure it in ethyl alcohol for at least 1 year, and little by little it leaves an increasingly animal odor strong. This oil has been from Hyraceum absolute cured for approximately 2 years.


Hyraceum oil, with a liquid consistency and a deep, ethereal, warm, sensual, almost aphrodisiac animal odor, with a facet of elegant leather, aged liquor. The absolute of Hyrax, is a fixative note, with a reminiscent of Castoreum absolute. 


For use in perfumery as a fixative base note. Please note that this is a highly concentrated absolute, used as a fixative in luxury perfumery and incense. 


Please note that although Hyraceum is an animal product, it is not a product that comes from animal suffering.
It is a product that comes from the feces of the Cape Hyrax and is collected when it is fossilized in the places where the Hyrax usually deposit their feces.
