Das INA231 Modul basiert auf dem INA231A (kontinuierliche Shunt- Bussspannung- Konvertierung) IC von Texas Instruments.

Der INA231 ist ein Strom-Shunt- und Leistungsmonitor mit einer 1,8-V-kompatiblen I2C-Schnittstelle und unterstützt 16 programmierbare Adressen.

Der INA231 überwacht sowohl Shunt-Spannungsabfälle sowie die d Busversorgungsspannung.

Des Weiteren verfügt der INA231 über einen ALERT-Pin zur Abschaltung sobald die vorgegebenen Maximalwerte überschritten werden.

Die Signalausgabe basierend auf dem Kalibrierwert erfolgt in Kombination mit einem internen Multiplikator, sodass sowohl Leistung in Watt als auch Strom in Ampere simultan ausgegeben werden.

The INA231 is a current-shunt and power monitor with a 1.8-V compliant I2C interface that features 16 programmable addresses.

The INA231 monitors both shunt voltage drops and bus supply voltage, providing increased protection by asserting the ALERT pin if the values are outside the programmed range.

Programmable calibration value, conversion time, and averaging, combined with an internal multiplier, enable direct readouts of current in amperes and power in watts, thus reducing host processing.

The INA240 operates from a single 2.7-V to 5.5-V power supply, drawing a maximum of 330µA of supply current.
