Newcastle Sterling Silver Salvers - Antique George III (Circa 1807)

Description

These exceptional antique George III Newcastle sterling silver salvers have been crafted in two sizes and have a plain oval form.

The surface of each rare salver is embellished with a fine and impressive contemporary bright cut engraved laurel branch decorated cartouche displaying the crest of an elk"s head erased, attired*.

The raised swept borders are ornamented with impressive applied thread decoration to the rim.

These Georgian oval silver salvers are each supported by four plain bracket feet.

These exceptional sterling silversalvers have been crafted by the renowned and rare silversmith Alexander Kelty.

Condition

These antique oval silver salvers are an exceptional gauge of silver and exceptional quality for their type.

The salvers are in excellent condition in keeping with age.

The applied decoration is very sharp and the bright cut engraved crests are very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each salver are all very clear.
