This kit is designed for use with WaterLovers Snow Burg systems. It includes all the essential components and filters needed for maintaining and servicing your filtration system.
Included in the Kit
PP 5 Micron Filter: This filter is designed for mechanical cleaning and functions by physically removing sediments, impurities, or any particles using a barrier. The filter is capable of removing particles larger than 5 microns. PP filters are constructed from a multi-layered microscopic polypropylene fiber. The porous structure of the fiber retains impurities.
CTO Filter (Carbon Block Filter): This filter is composed of monolithic activated carbon and is effective in removing organic substances, chlorine, odors, and turbidity. Compared to granulated carbon filters, carbon block filters have a much larger surface area and a higher number of active sites, making them up to 25% more effective. They filter out mechanical impurities and are particularly recommended for purifying surface water. Carbon block filters are made using activated carbon powder, which is mixed with ground polyethylene and baked. This results in a compact sorptive structure whose properties, such as adsorption capacity, can be controlled during production. Furthermore, these properties remain consistent throughout the entire lifespan. Carbon block filters have fewer issues with channeling, a common problem with standard loose filters.
CTOS Filter (Calcium Treatment and Oxidation Reduction Filter): The calcification and corrosion reduction filter, also known as CTOS, prevents the buildup of calcium deposits and corrosion. It reduces the maintenance frequency of the filter and prolongs the lifespan of the equipment, protecting valves and other components from wear and blockages. It also enhances water taste and shields equipment from aggressive chlorine.
Final Carbon Filter: The final activated carbon filter is positioned after the membrane and represents the last stage of water purification. It eliminates all tastes or odors, enhancing the taste of the purified water.
Filter Maintenance and Replacement Intervals:
To ensure optimal system performance, regular maintenance is required. The frequency of technical maintenance depends on water quality, system usage, and the volume of filtered water. The specified replacement intervals for filters are approximate. It's essential to monitor changes in the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the purified water (measured at specific intervals using a TDS meter). When the TDS level changes significantly, it's recommended to replace the filters.
