Description: Antique woodcut leaf in hand coloring of France, with page description of the son of Hercules after whom France was named Francus or Pharamond.
According to medieval legend and mythology, Francus was a mythical figure and the eponymous founder of the Franks, an ancient Germanic tribe that played a significant role in the history of France.
The story goes that Francus was the son of Hercules and the queen of the mythical island of Atlantis.

Alraune is depicted as a sorceress or a supernatural being.
According to the legend, Alraune was a beautiful sorceress who possessed the power to transform people into various forms. In some versions of the story, she was said to have the ability to turn people into trees.
As for King Marcomer (also known as Marcomirus or Marcomir), he is a legendary figure mentioned in early medieval French history.
He is considered to be one of the early mythical kings of the Franks, a Germanic tribe that played a significant role in the formation of France.
