Cartographer: Jacques Nicolas Bellin (1703 – 1772).
In 1721, at age 18, he was appointed hydrographer (chief cartographer) to the French Navy.
In August 1741, he became the first Ingénieur de la Marine of the Depot des cartes et plans de la Marine (the French Hydrographical Office) and was named Official Hydrographer of the French King.
Engraver: Johann Michael Seligmann Schley aka Jakob van Schley (1715 Amsterdam – 1779 Amsterdam) was a Dutch draughtsman and was a renowned engraver who worked on various maps and illustrations during the 18th century. He studied under Bernard Picart (1673-1733).
