The world is full of culinary masterpieces, and the original dish that most fully conveys the taste and centuries-old culture of Ukraine is Ukrainian borscht. For Ukrainians, borscht is more than just a dish. Over time, Ukrainian borscht gained worldwide recognition, becoming a symbol of Ukrainian cuisine and the embodiment of Ukrainian tradition. Borscht is revered everywhere, and the cooking recipe is passed down from generation to generation. In 2022, UNESCO added Ukrainian borscht to the list of objects of intangible cultural heritage in need of protection, which is intended to spread knowledge about the cultural and gastronomic traditions of Ukraine throughout the world.
