From an Estate!  I tested this locomotive on 8/15 and she runs smoothly in both directions.  There is just a slight hesitation in starting but this is due to the gears having been dormant since she was new.  She is actually quiet and smooth once started and just needs a break in period and some light lubrication. Offered and Sold AS-IS!  She was originally marked $300 in 1990!  Bottom half of the box is missing.  

I believe this is an early Brass Hybrid Locomotive or diecast by Oriental Limited.  Not many of these ever come up as far as I can tell.
