When not engaged in domestic squabbles, Tim hosts a home improvement show called 'Tool Time'. This series sees Al (Richard Karn) turn 35 and try to find a wife with the help of Jill. In Tim's household, the family celebrates Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas with the expected calamitous results. Installing an intercom at home causes more problems than expected and Tim receives tragic news that Mr Binford, his boss, has died of a heart attack - Tim finds a very special way of saying goodbye.
