This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver baby rattle and whistle has a bulbous shaped form.
The panelled surface of the knopped body is plain and unembellished, with bead decorated borders to the central bulbous portion.
The impressive antique silver rattle is fitted with four articulated, functional bells attached intermittently around the bulbous body.
This large sterling silver rattle/whistle articulates and suspends from a circular ring loop style handpiece.
The body of this Victorian baby rattle incorporates a whistle, accessible from the opposing end to the handle.
Such large examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
ConditionThis antique Victorian baby rattle/whistle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rattle are all very clear.
