WILLIAM HENRY DYER - DARTMOOR circa 1920

A beautiful & large watercolour

Dyer was celebrated for his coastal and moorland scenes. Dyer doesn’t appear to have exhibited regularly, but he did show a view of Torbay at an exhibition of West Country artists at the graves Gallery, London , c. 1900.

He travelled widely in Switzerland, Italy, India, India and Egypt, where he produced pictures.

Some of his work was published in postcard form by J.Salmon of Sevenoaks. These were mostly West country views and date from the 1920s.
