How rare is this aerial towed target? This Aluminum Ball Target was shaped to attract radar operated gunfire to a towed banner target. It was shaped to the wave length of the fighters radar operated guns. It was located at the extreme forward end of the towed target and was supposedly immune from damage but his one has 2-.50 caliber holes in it. These radar spheres came into operation around Korean War time and have been in use ever since. They are seldom, if ever, offered for sale which makes this one with its battle damage so unique. It would make a most unique gift for someone or addition to a collection. Please consider it and check out the rest of our listings - Thanks.
