This is Magnolia soulangeana, also known as Saucer Magnolia, and Tulip Tree. The flowers put off a strong fragrance, while attracting birds, bees, and butterflies. Growing up to 30 feet tall this tree likes to live in sun to partial shade. In the middle of Spring this tree has white, pink, and purple blossoms. USDA Hardiness Zones 4 to 9.
