this novelty teapot depicting a “Cockerel & Monkey” by Minton from their “Archive
Collection”, complemented
with a snail finial
“Naturalistic and Japanese influence combine in this Cockerel and Monkey teapot which originated in the 1870s during the heyday of the Aesthetic movement”
We think there’s a manufacturer flaw which looks like a hairline crack inside of the cockerel mouth [spout] – not visible on the outside though
Comes with its Certificate of Authenticity and original presentation box

a Limited Edition of 1000 pieces of which this is number 462.
