For sale is this novelty teapot depicting a “Cockerel & Monkey” by Minton from their “Archive Collection”, complemented with a snail finial

“Naturalistic and Japanese influence combine in this Cockerel and Monkey teapot which originated in the 1870s during the heyday of the Aesthetic movement”

We think there’s a manufacturer flaw which looks like a hairline crack inside of the cockerel mouth [spout] – not visible on the outside though

Comes with its Certificate of Authenticity and original presentation box

Produced in a Limited Edition of 1000 pieces of which this is number 462.

Approximate Measurements taken from highest/widest points:

Height 19cm – without lid; [from top of lid to base 24.5cm

Width 23cm [spout to handle]

Top of rim 6cm x 5½ cm

Condition:

Small hairline crack inside of spout

Marks on the satin fabric inside of the box

This item is being sold in used condition and therefore have light marks/scratches consistent with usage, otherwise in good condition with no chips
