The cow moos whenever the lid (cow's head) is removed. It requires two AA batteries to operate. It seems a great way to monitor whenever someone attempts to have a cookie!  

The cookie jar has never been used. It was a gift for my daughter who was hoping one day to live in a farm house and decorate with a country type motif.  She has since moved to the big city and plans to stay there.
