I did once upon a time find out who produced these old wells but not sure now - possibly Sowerby. A solid lump of moulded glass designed to be a double inkwell for a clerk's writing desk. Perfect today for a pair of tapered base candles.  Pretty - complete with trapped bubbles inside, 'chamfered' top edge with MADE IN ENGLAND moulded into one of the top long sides.  It measures roughly 10 x 4.5 x 5cm and weighs around 490gr. The inside measurement of the hole at the top is around 2.5cm and the holes have a depth of about 3cm - so they could hold cuttings / flowerhead? (NB - Be wary of perhaps not allowing your candles to burn to the top of the glass as the heat could possibly crack it?!) Thanks for looking and any questions, please ask.
