L.U.C. & Rebel Babel Film Orchestra from the soundtrack to 'Peasants' - Polish Oscar Candidate!

The painted adaptation of "Peasants" became a Polish Oscar candidate, along with music composed by L.U.C. or Łukasz Rostkowski and Rebel Babel Film Orchestra.

Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski, who is famous for many projects combining music with history in a modern way. His records, performances and projects from the Warsaw Uprising Museum, the ECS, the Institute of National Remembrance, the Pilecki Institute and many other institutions in Poland and around the world create a new form of multimedia historical lessons for many generations combining art with education, music with comics and animations.

L.U.C. about the album:
"The 'Peasants' soundtrack was created from traditional Polish sounds and authentic folk instruments. Just as Reymont made a beautiful, colourful Baroque-like verbal cathedral out of simple peasant language, we musically strive to build beautiful film music based on authentic sounds of folk instruments, compositions and traditional themes. Modern here is only thinking about
forms and arrangements. The most important thing, however, is that the design is a compendium of the most interesting phenomena of folk music. We have involved many different musicians in the project who have devoted themselves with great devotion to traditional music for years - Maria Pomianowska, Song Laboratory, Sutari, Dagadana, Tęgie Peasants, Vyrij Choir, supported by: Kayah, Julia Wieniawa, Ralph Kaminski, Lor, Apolonia Nowak, Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Apple Flower and Bela Komoszyńska."

The project also included musicians from Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus. All within the international Rebel Babel Film Orchestra created by L.U.C. in 2016. An unlimited orchestra orchestra has already brought together over 11,000 musicians from 20 countries.
Orchestrated folk and film compositions combined with paintings, animations and films depicting several years of work on this unique project are an unforgettable spectacle close to nature, as is Władysław Reymont's iconic and Nobel Prize-winning novel.

Just as Reymont built a baroque language cathedral out of the simple words and sayings of peasants, so did L.U.C. created rich and colorful film music using only authentic and acoustic historical instruments.
In the soundtrack to the film "Peasants" by L.U.C. combines traditional melodies in an impressionist way with a modern production form, based on looping and contemporary articulation of double diaphragm drums or a tube that plays like a bass synthesizer here.
The whole, in reference to the international character of the production (the film was painted in 4 Slavic countries), is a compendium of Slavic music created by almost 100 musicians from Poland, Ukraine and Belarus under the baton of Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski.

Agora Publishing House has published an illustrated edition of the Nobel Prize-winning work by Władysław Stanisław Reymont "Peasants. Collector's Edition"

The manufacturer also started selling pictures from the film.
