Remarkable Reverse Painted and Enamelled Trinket /

Powder Jar or Pot - Approx 11cm across & 7cm high

The Lid has been reverse painted so the inner side

of the lid has its own lake scene.  This reverse painted scene is

then the background scene for the Enamelled Swans, which 

have been Enamelled on the Front of the Lid.

This Process is not one I have seen before and 

requires a lot of skill and artistry

In lovely Condition - I have tried to take a photo of 

the tiny flea bites on the top rim of the base but 

they are almost impossible to see

The Design is Early 20th Century and seems Influenced by

both the Art Deco and Nouveau Movements
