Description:

A 2011 limited edition color etching by the American artist Tony Fitzpatrick (born 1958). Titled Dust Fire, this abstract work depicts two bisected red and black circles surrounded by colorful shapes and designs. Signed "T.F." and dated to the lower right, the print is titled to the lower center and numbered 6/45 to the lower left. The work is displayed in a black frame and a white mat.

A Chicago artist, Fitzpatrick's work is predominantly inspired by Chicago street culture. Fitzpatrick worked as an actor, radio host, bartender, and boxer before turning to art as a career. In 1992, he opened his own printmaking studio that also serves as an exhibition space. His works are part of the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the National Museum of American Art in Washington, DC, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
