You need to use a Bucket Pin Shim when you have space between your bucket ears and your machine's hook up. Too much of a gap will cause your Bucket to wobble or chatter around on your machine.
Using Bucket Pin Shims will increase the life of your pins and bushings.
A bucket pin shim will work just fine if it is is a little larger than the Outer Diameter of your pin but not if it is smaller.
