NEW YORK JETS - AUTOGRAPHED SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH CO-SIGNED BY: MARTY LYONS, JOE KLECKO, ABDUL SALAAM, MARK GASTINEAU - HFSID 275245

NEW YORK JETS' "NEW YORK SACK EXCHANGE": MARK GASTINEAU, JOE KLECKO, MARTY LYONS and ABDUL SALAAM.
Giant 19¾x16 photograph signed by all four members of the Jets' legendary "New York Sack Exchange"
Large Photograph signed: "Marty Lyons/93", "Joe Klecko/73", "Abdul/Salaam/74" and "Mark/Gastineau/99". Color, 19¾x16. The defensive front-four known as "the New York Stock Exchange" terrorized the NFL in 1981 and 1982, accounting for 53.5 sacks in 1981 alone. MARCUS DELL "MARK" GASTINEAU (born in 1956) was considered one of the quickest and most feared defensive ends of his generation. Gastineau, who had played for Arizona State, starred for the Jets from 1979-1988, setting a then-record of 22 sacks in a single season (1984). Famous for his "Sack Dance" (which he stopped after the NFL declared it "unsportsmanlike taunting"), Gastineau played in five consecutive Pro Bowls (1981-1985), and he was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1982), AFC Defensive Player of the Year (1984) and Pro Bowl MVP (1984). He left the team in the middle of the 1988 season, supposedly to spend time with actress Brigitte Nielsen, with whom he has a son, but he later revealed that he feared failing a drug test and the revelation of his use of steroids. Gastineau later played for four games for the British Columbia Lions in the Canadian Football League (1990), and he also pursued a career in boxing (1991-1996), which was marred by reports that other boxers had been told to take "dives" to make Gastineau look good. His later life was also marred by several run-ins with the law, including charges of drug possession and domestic violence, and Gastineau spent 11 months in prison in 1999 for parole violations. JOSEPH EDWARD "JOE" KLECKO (born in 1953) was the co-anchor of the "Sack Exchange" (he is second only to Gastineau on the Jets' all-time leading sack list). Klecko, who finished his pro career with the Indianapolis Colts (1988), played for the Jets from 1977-1987, and his #73 jersey was only the third to be retired by the team (along with those of Joe Namath and Don Maynard). Klecko has also appeared in two films, Cannonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit II. His son, Dan, plays for the Colts. MARTIN A. "MARTY" LYONS (born in 1957 played his entire 11-season NFL career with the New York Jets (1979-1989). A former star on the University of Alabama's 1978 National Championship team under legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, he was the 14th overall draft pick in the 1979 NFL Draft. Lyons is also known for injuring the knee (and ending the career) of Miami Dolphin Dwight Stephenson during a game in 1987. After finishing his pro career, Lyons founded the Marty Lyons Foundation, which works with terminally ill children, and (as of November 2011) he is the Jets' radio analyst. ABDUL SALAAM, born Larry Faulk in 1953, who had played college football for Kent State, spent his entire pro career with the Jets (1976-1983). Minor surface creases (not evident head on), one at the "A" of Abdul. Holographic sticker affixed at lower right corner. Fine condition.
