The UNI-T UT585 is a digital RCD tester and can be used to check that residual current devices are working correctly.
Small and relatively lightweight, this tester is easy to move from RCD to RCD as you perform testing. The device is also simple to use, and all you need to do to select different tests is to turn the rotary wheel, connect up the supplied test lead and press the test button. You can also use the save button to hold test data on the screen while you jot it down, or you can press recall to bring up the last test.
When using the UT585 the rotary wheel allows users to adjust the range of the test. The following options are available:
- X ½
- X 1
- X 2
- X5
- Auto ramp
In addition the UT585 also features backlit LCD display, low battery indicator, automatic detection of contact voltage and an auto power off function.
The tester comes supplied in its own carry case so you can move between jobs with your tester in a safe place.
