Monarch was a legendary manufacturer of leather jackets during the mid-20th century, and they frequently sold jackets to department stores and made flight jackets for both the Air Force and Navy. The jacket is made of a heavy horsehide - this isn't your typical A-2 leather! - but it's still very wearable and supple. This leather has developed some wonderful character over the years.

Condition:
The leather is still supple and is in good condition, and the zipper works well. There is a faint odor, sort of like burnt hair, when you press it to your nose, but this is not noticeable just being around the jacket. All in all, this jacket is in fantastic condition, given its age.
