This was a metal detector find in Felton, CA, in the Santa Cruz Mountains years ago.  It was in a mason jar with some other items.  It appears to be from the early 1900s, best I can tell.  The back has surface rust, but there is no damage to the front.  I really like it, but it's time to share.
