Japanese Geisha Bamboo Blossom Watercolour on Silk Unframed Painting 58x31cm

Magnificent, delicate watercolour painting on silk of seated Geisha girl in traditional blue and white coloured Kimono reclining on a rock in a bamboo and pink blossom garden.

Her hair is held with green and pink clip, she wears long pearl earrings and holds a branch of blossom loosely in her hand. She gazes pensively at the green grass around her.

This painting is unframed and does not seem to bear an artists signature.

Thought to be from the 1950's it has remained stored for all these years waiting to be displayed either in a frame or on a scroll.

Circa 1950's.

Condition: Very good condition, colours are still bright, no damage. There are some light brown age marks in small areas of the white silk background.
