For all the Sim Racing enthusiasts: Stainless steel adapter and gear knob modification

The TH8S from Thrustmaster is in need of a gear knob mod to make the most of it!

Most adapters that allow you to put a real gear knob on a sim gear box are made of 3d Printed plastic. I'm a great fan of 3d printing but not in applications that take a lot of movement as when I tested earlier versions on the logitech shifter the printed adapter broke down over time (v similar gear knob connection to TH8S).  Whilst its cheaper for me to print in plastic (less than 20p) I wanted the adapter to last. For that reason all of my adapters for sim racing gear knobs are made of stainless steel (*see below for the explanation of the 6 speed).

You will get the strong stainless steel adapter and the gear knob of your choice

 Instructions

1. Pry the top of the gear knob off

2. use a T15 Torx to undo the screw holding on the gear knob (I have one as an option in this listing but check your tool box first)

3. pull off the OEM knob

4. Screw in the adapter, tighten with a screwdriver

5. Screw in your knob

Important notes

-->The 6 speed knobs have an m12 stainless adapter sheathed in the OEM plastic M12-> M18 adapter that comes with the knob to allow you to get the gear shift labels aligned. The adapter is pre screwed for your convenience,
