S1229 Antique Porcelain Sleeping / Reclining Buddha Statue Sculpture Dehua Kilns

The Chinese Bodhisattva, Goddess of Compassion, Mercy and Kindness. With stylings from the Ming Dynasty, this Kuan-yin / Sakyamuni Buddha is magnificent!  From the world-famous Dehua kilns, this is a piece that deserves to be in a prominent place . . .  not just because its age but for its spiritual value.

This is an “authentic” old porcelain from the home of a professor of Asian Studies. It has been in his family since the 1940s.  16” long x 8.5” tall x 5” deep
