The PT is one of Schecter's most identifiable models. Since its beginning in the hands of Pete Townshend, the PT has been a dyed-in-the-wool rocker while tipping its hat to a vintage platform. This Custom Shop–built PT’s maple-topped mahogany body represents a tried-and-true rock 'n' roll formula — the mahogany provides incredible warmth and resonance, while the beautiful flamed maple brings even more sustain and articulation to the party.
Schecter has made a name for itself as a SoCal-based rock 'n' roll guitar company. So it makes complete sense that they are able to wind the SuperRock Vintage humbucking pickups found in this PT Custom to nail classic hard rock tones with ease. Plug this guitar straight into your higher-gain amplifier and be greeted with harmonically rich gain and notes that seem to jump right off the fingerboard. And to add a generous helping of flexibility to the guitar's palette, these pickups also sound fantastic and detailed when played clean.
This Schecter PT Custom's neck is expertly carved from a piece of rock-hard riftsawn maple. Maple caps the neck with a 14" radius. Its “C” profile is an exquisite balance of hand-filling comfort and fleet-fingered playability. Add a fingerboard outfitted with extremely durable Jescar 6100 fret wire and a TUSQ nut that ensures your strings never bind, and this PT Custom plays as beautifully as it looks. This guitar is in excellent shape with light buckle wear and marks on pickup covers, rated at 9.5/10. All original and free from any breaks, cracks or repairs.
